The purpose and intent of Riverside Sports Properties, LLC and Rugby Indy, LLC is to provide opportunity through sport and where possible through rugby, one of the fastest growing team sports in the USA for men and women, and one of the largest team sports in the world.  The men’s World Cup is the third largest sporting event on the globe.  

The corporate mission of Rugby Indy is “Enhancing Communities and Growing Opportunities through Sport”; however, the ultimate goals are multi-faceted and include the following:

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium into a vibrant community asset that can host school, after school, adult and recreational sport and educational opportunities

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium to serve as a physical connection between 16 Tech, a revitalized Riverside Park, the Riverside Park Community, the trails that will (16Tech trail extension, B&O Corridor) or do (White River Trail) encircle Kuntz Stadium and as a gateway to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium as a future home of USA Rugby and its four national teams, men’s and women’s 7s (Olympic program) and 15s (World Cup program)

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium as a potential home for a professional rugby team

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium to serve as a home for Indiana Rugby, the state governing body for the sport, and potentially other field sports governing bodies for men and women

• The redevelopment of Kuntz Stadium to a standard acceptable to sporting events of national and international caliber, including the 2031 Men’s Rugby World Cup and the 2033 Women’s World Cup, both of which will be hosted in the USA for the first time.  

Rugby Indy, LLC is unique in the completeness of its vision, the support of the Riverside community, and the breadth of its relationships in USA and International rugby. Rugby Indy, LLC is also unique in the breadth and depth of Indianapolis community support for its vision of neighborhood development and economic development through sport (Read them here).
